Library Feedback Drive
Tell Us What You’d Like to See: The Library is Listening
The Open Library Feedback Drive is a one-month effort to hear from residents across the Skaneateles Library Service area about current library services and the library’s future. The library is for everyone in our community — across the entire Skaneateles Central School District — whether you’re a regular, an occasional visitor, or haven’t walked through our doors in years. We want to hear from you: your experiences, ideas, and hopes for the library all help shape what comes next. Every response the Library Board and staff receive helps us understand what our community needs and values.
Have 5 minutes? Every voice helps us build a library that truly belongs to the whole community.
The community survey takes no more than five minutes to complete and is available in three ways
- Online: Click to take the survey here
- In print: Available at the library
- In person: at one of the community listening sessions
Attend a Listening Session
Several informal drop-in sessions are being held throughout the community. Drop-in at any point to speak individually with a trustee, ask questions or fill out our survey.

How feedback will be used
After the feedback period closes on August 31, the library will review all responses, identify recurring themes, and publish a general summary. Your input will also directly help shape the Library’s 2027–2031 Strategic Plan.
While every response will be read and considered, we won’t be able to respond to or act on every suggestion. Financial, spatial, regulatory, and other practical constraints mean some good ideas won’t be able to move forward. But we’re committed to being transparent about the process: as decisions are made, we’ll share what changed, what didn’t, and why.
