Donor Alert: Protect Yourself from Fraudulent Solicitation Emails
We’ve become aware that some individuals are receiving emails that falsely claim to be from Skaneateles Library staff, soliciting donations. These messages are not affiliated with or authorized by the Library.
All legitimate donation requests from the Skaneateles Library will come only from an @skanlibrary.org email address. If you receive a solicitation from any other domain, please do not respond or click any links, and consider it fraudulent.

- By check, mailed to: Skaneateles Library, 49 East Genesee Street, Skaneateles, NY, attn: Andrea Snyder
Library staff will never ask donors by email to send money to a personal account, purchase gift cards, or use an alternate payment method not listed on our website.
If you receive a suspicious solicitation message claiming to be from the Library, please do not send money or click any links. We’d also appreciate it if you’d forward it to us so we can document and report it.

Monetary Donations
The Skaneateles Library is an association library that receives significant support from the taxpayers of the Skaneateles Central School District, along with fundraising, investment income, and other contributions that make up the rest of our operating budget.
Donations of any amount are always appreciated. If you’d like to give in honor or memory of someone, please include the honoree’s name along with the name and address of the person we should notify.
